After graduating from law school, Philip clerked for the Honorable Eugene M. Benton, Superior Court Judge in the Alcovy Judicial Circuit in Monroe and Covington, Georgia. In 2014, he entered private practice at a boutique litigation firm in Atlanta representing medical providers in malpractice claims and small businesses in a wide variety of general liability, product liability, and premises liability claims. Since 2017, his practice has focused on the defense of auto manufacturers, component part suppliers, and other product manufacturers in product liability claims, as well as the defense of large and small businesses alike in general liability claims. Philip handles cases from inception through trial and appeal.
His experience includes defending local businesses and nationwide corporations in product liability and general liability actions. He also has extensive experience in taking and defending numerous depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, fact witnesses, healthcare providers and expert witnesses.
As a member of the Georgia Bar since 2013, Phillip has been admitted to practice in the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia, Middle District of Georgia, and Southern District of Georgia.
He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia, and his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. He served as Vice President of the Georgia State University Mock Trial Team, becoming Regional Champion & National Quarterfinalist of the 2013 AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition.
He and his wife Jennifer live in East Atlanta and are the proud parents of their daughter, Reese. He is an avid Atlanta sports fan and devout follower of UGA football.
