Dunn Stapleton specializes in real estate law, and his services include: handling sales and acquisitions for commercial, farm, and residential properties and related loan closings; conducting complex title examinations; issuing title opinions, title insurance commitments and policies; preparing leases and sales contracts; handling tax-deferred exchanges of like-kind properties; and advising purchasers, sellers, developers, landlords, and tenants with respect to various real estate-related issues.
A Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, Dunn has also presented lectures at a number of seminars on real estate foreclosures and related matters. A native of Donalsonville, Georgia, Dunn received his A.B. and J.D. degrees from Emory University, and then served in Vietnam as an officer in the United States Navy. Admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1968, he also holds membership in the Dougherty Circuit Bar Association.
Dunn is a member of the board of directors of Flint Community Bank. He also serves as a Trustee Emeritus of Girls, Inc. of Albany, having served on that board as a founding trustee for over 30 years. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Dougherty County, and a past Vestry member and past senior warden of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Dunn and his wife, Nealy, have two grown daughters, and are members of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
