Melissa Peeler began working with Watson Spence in September of 2009. She practices in the area of civil litigation with a background in medical malpractice defense, product liability and common carrier litigation. Her trial work experience includes preparing and arguing pretrial and post trial motions, depositions of witnesses including experts in many fields, conducting jury and bench trials as lead counsel and appearing before the Supreme Court of Georgia on appeal.
Melissa is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association and the Health Care Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Georgia in 1993, and then went on to obtain her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1999 where she was a member of the Intellectual Property Journal and Moot Court Team. Melissa worked previously for Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn and Dial in Atlanta until June of 2006.
From 2008 until 2009, she served as the Institutional Review Board Coordinator at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Melissa and her husband, Charlie, have three sons and are members at First United Methodist Church. |
